Mik, a proud Cabrogal woman, started Australia’s first Indigenous Edu-tech company, Indigital. Mik created an app that uses augmented reality to let Indigenous people share extraordinary stories about places, even when they’re not actually there.

This is how Mik became a storyteller:

• Studied how nature works (environmental biology) at university.
• Learned about how Indigenous people work with the land.
• Became a Park Ranger and learned all the stories and history of the National Park she worked in, which gave her the idea for her cool app.
• Found someone who knows how to build apps so they could teach her about the technology, which led to her starting her own company, Indigital.

Mik combined her love of nature, and her passion for Indigenous culture and stories, with technology to bring people and stories together.
